We don't have the records you requested. We suggest you submit a public records request to Alameda County.

No further direction received from requestor since my Oct. 9 follow-up note. Definitive information on property lines is held by Alameda County, not City of Oakland. Requestor can request a non-definitive map from the City of Oakland; if Oakland has such a document, requestor would be subject to copying costs.

Dear Records Requestor, In your public records request #606, submitted yesterday, you asked for “a 'master map' of the zip code 94610 that shows all property boundaries.” Please note that the City of Oakland does not maintain the official records of property ownership boundaries. The definitive source of official property ownership records is Alameda County, and you may be able to find the information you are seeking through the County Clerk-Recorder’s Office. Their website is http://www.acgov.org/auditor/clerk/propertysearch.htm . The City of Oakland’s Department of Planning and Building may have maps in their possession, either copies of county records or maps with boundaries which they have created. Please note, though, that any such City documents would not be the official boundary maps, and would not necessarily be definitive. Please also note that the City does charge requestors of public information for the costs the City incurs in copying responsive documents, and map pages of larger than standard 8.5 x 11” sizes can be somewhat costly. Given the above information, please let me know how you wish to proceed with this request. James A. Bondi, jbondi@oaklandnet.com, 510-238-6654
