Excerpt of public records request received on Sept. 5, 2013 by City Attorney's Office. This request has already been responded and has been entered for tracking purposes by Arlette Flores. 1. Any and all DOCUMENTS (For the purposes of this request "DOCUMENTS" shall mean all items encompassed within California Evidence Code Section 250, and shall include, without limitation, all handwritten, printed, graphic, typed, electronically recorded, sound-recorded, or computer readable materials.) regarding or reflecting any lease entered into between the City of Oakland and OMSS, William Aboudi or any other Aboudi controlled entity from January I, 2013 to present. 2. As indicated, this request has already been responded. City is awaiting for confirmation from the requestor to either inspect or pay for the copies of the responsive records. Items #2 and #3 were responded by the Revenue Division. Requestor was informed that the City did not have in its possession any records from Horizon Trucking. He was also informed that OMC section 5.04.060 (below) designates the information relating to Oakland businesses that can be disclosed. Staff sent him responsive records (that will be attached shortly) and a link to the City’s policy on confidentiality on the Revenue Division’s website http://www.oaklandnet.com/government/fwawebsite/revenue/revenue_biztax.htm 5.04.060 Public inspection. A. The following information for each business tax certificate under this chapter shall be available for inspection by the public during normal working hours: 1. The name and address of the business; 2. The name of the owner of the business, if such name is shown on the records filed pursuant to this chapter; 3. Industrial classification; 4. Expiration date; 5. Account number. B. The Director of Finance may enact such regulations as are necessary to permit reasonable public access to the information. Such regulations may prescribe the time and manner in which to receive and act upon requests for such information.
