Dear requester: Each public records liaison is responsible of coordinating the review, redaction and request for legal advice for responsive records of their own department/office.They are also responsible for providing a response via RecordTrac. The Department of Information Technology ran a search for responsive records, and provided a CD to each office with the results. For compliance purposes, a CD with all the results is provided to the City Attorney's Office. The criteria for the search was the one provided in the request. Our office was informed today that there were no responsive records from the City Administrator's Office, either. Feel free to call me if you have further questions.

Dear requester: Your request is asking for a voluminous amount of records, and as you could see in RecordTrac, there are many other requests asking for voluminous amount of emails, too. City of Oakland has thousands of employees, and it will take a considerable amount of time to run a search for each single employee. To expedite a response for your request, the Department of Information Technology (DIT) is currently running a search with the words "cellbrite", cellebrite" and "phone ripper" among the following people: Jean Quan from Mayor's Office; Sean Whent, Anthony Batts and Howard Jordan from OPD; and Deanna Santana, Fred Blackwell and Dan Lindheim, from City Administrator's Office. In addition, City Attorney's Office is running a search within its staff. Once DIT finishes its search, records will have to be reviewed and redacted, as necessary. Your first segment of records will be ready on July 9, 2014. Depending on the amount of records that are responsive, we could either attach them or make arrangements for inspection or pick up. Please contact me at 510 238 2965 to discuss further your request and find the best way to fulfill it.
