Dear Records Requestor, In your recent request #2636, you asked for documents or answers on four points of inquiry regarding the Domain Awareness Center (DAC) and related matters. I have just uploaded two sets of scanned documents which staff believe are responsive to your requests. Please note that some documents which include confidential attorney-client privileged communications and attorney work product have either been withheld from disclosure, or have been redacted from within the uploaded documents, as permitted under Government Code Sec. 6254(k). In response to your specific numbered points of inquiry, City staff also provide the following information: 1. The City does not have a designated “Privacy Officer for the DAC”. 2. Regarding the “Privacy Threshold Analysis” document, the staff person in possession of this material is out of the office. I will upload this document for you as soon as I receive it from that staff person, which I expect will only be a few more days, and I apologize for the delay. 3. No “Privacy Impact Assessment for the DAC” has been given to the Dept. of Homeland Security by the City. Staff inform me that Homeland Security may request that such a document be prepared and submitted by the City in the future, but as of yet the City has received no such request and thus has no such document. 4. Regarding documents for the four meetings you listed, all responsive documents we can identify have been uploaded. Staff inform me that there was no meeting on the 11/22/13 and 12/11/13 dates you cited. Since the document to be provided under point #2 of your request remains to be provided, the City will continue to consider your request open. Sincerely, James A. Bondi 510-238-6654
