Since the company shotspotter admits to having microphones that are on 24/7, and they admit to being able to record, and store conversations. What privacy regulations are in place:? Do they need a warrant to record conversations on the street by innocent people?

There are no search warrants necessary as the equipment monitors areas that are in public space. It's the same as someone taking pictures in public.
