We know adoptable pets are being put down -- how many and why? -We know Friends of OAS has close to a million dollars in assets -- how much is supporting the shelter's efforts to get pets adopted? Residents of Oakland: this shelter is funded with your tax dollars - they work for you. PALS can't lead the charge on this. We need the public who cares about the pets and people of --how many dogs came into the shelter in 2015 and 2016? How many were put down? Adopted? Sent to foster? --how much funding did the shelter receive from Friends of Oakland Animal Services in 2016, and what was it used for? --and how much city funding did the shelter get in 2016 and what percent, if any, went toward supporting the enrichment of animals and their adoption?
