In PRA request 7497 (http://records.oaklandnet.com/request/7497), I asked the City of Oakland for all records and correspondence relating to or mentioning Oakland's "Secret Sauce" mentioned ad nauseum by Mayor-Elect and no Mayor Libby Schaaf.
The only response I received to the request was a link to a video that wasn't relevant and made no mention of Oakland's Secret Sauce.
Pursuant to my rights under the California Public Records Act, I ask that you produce the following, which I understand may be held by the City:
Any and all Documents (for the purposes of this request, "Documents" shall mean all items encompassed within California Evidence Code Section 250, and shall include, without limitation, all handwritten, printed, graphic, typed, electronically-recorded, sound recorded, or computed readable materials) relating to or referencing Oakland’s “Secret Sauce.”
I ask for determination on this request withing 10 days of your receipt of the request.
If you determine that any or all of the information qualifies for an exemption from disclosure, I ask you to include in your written reply a statement as to whether, as is normally the case under the Act, the claim of an exemption is discretionary, and, if so, why it is necessary in this case to exercise your discretion to withhold the information. If you determine that some but not all of the information is exempt from disclosure and that you intend to withhold, I ask that you redact it for the time being and make the rest available as requested. In any event, please provide a signed notification citing the legal authorities on which you rely if you determine that any or all of the information is exempt and will not be disclosed.
If I can provide any clarification that may help you expedite my request, please contact me via this email address. I ask that, if possible, the documents be made available electronically.
Thank you for your time and attention to this public records request.
