Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, Government Code §§6250 - 6270 and §§6275 - 6277, I hereby request all internal and external documentation and reports regarding the fire on top of the building located at 800 Broadway Avenue, Oakland on Monday, June 1, 2020, as a result of a tear gas canister(s) landing after police deployed them. As a journalist acting in the public interest, I request a fee waiver (under 5 U.S.C. 552(a)(4)(A)(iii)). Further, in the interests of saving taxpayer funds, I request that all data and documents be communicated electronically. If specific portions of any documents are exempt from disclosure, please provide the non-exempt portions and please provide a statutory request as to why those records are exempt.
