Repeating request 19-4323 which was closed in error after the wrong documents were released (as I noted in email sent 10/1/19, for wrong building and over 40 years later).
I request: All records relating to proposed plans by Oakland Unified School District that were submitted to the Planning Commission by March 1968 (when a news article stated they were under consideration), concerning the following residential properties that were acquired by OUSD and, starting in 1970 (presumably after Planning Commission approval of zoning/land use change), had their houses demolished and replaced by a Children’s Center for purposes of preschool/child care:

- 90 Echo Ave. APN 13-1118-19
- 160 Glen Ave. APN 13-1118-18
- 170 Glen Ave. APN 13-1118-17
- 174 Glen Ave. APN 13-1118-16
- 178 Glen Ave. APN 13-1118-15
- 182 Glen Ave. APN 13-1118-14
The above parcels were merged with the existing Piedmont Avenue Elementary School property to form the current APN 13-1118-20-1, probably in late 1968 after Planning approval. I am interested especially in descriptions of the Children’s Center building and proposed uses.
