No one has been appointed that represents the Electronic Frontier Foundation and
 Nadia Kayyali from 
EFF was on the Mayors Original List. Other people who expressed a strong interest
 and appeared to 
be reasonable candidates are: John Klein and Aestetix. Aestetix reached out to C
M Kalb yesterday and 
although he has a one word name and is young, appears very knowledgeable and int
erested.  John 
Klein was recommended originally by your office or Schaafs Office but has not bee
n appointed. Linda 
Lye with the ACLU has some recommended candidates too, including Eddam Katz who 
is an Oakland 
resident and has some real academic credentials around this subject matter. Lind
a is checking in with 
him to gauge his interest.
